TTH - Added Value of the Educational Center “Touching the Horizon”

Added Value of the Educational Center “Touching the Horizon”

1. On activity days, the children will receive a hot lunch before classes begin (for some, these will be the only hot meals during the week).

2. Regional flexibility – the unique advantage of “Touching the Horizon” is the possibility of holding the courses anywhere in the country that has demand and need. The courses will be held at any location of the adoptive company’s choosing, as a contribution to the community in which it is active.

3. The program is thorough and long-term.

4. Professionalism – supervision and academic accompaniment of Prof. Yossi Kattan, School of Social Work, Tel Aviv University.

5. The program is multidimensional and treats the person as a whole from a cognitive, emotional and moral point of view.

6. The program is based on circles of activity within the community throughout the process. It is a program that balances giving and receiving.

7. Cultural enrichment – as part of the program and throughout it, we enrich the participating teens with activities and information about a wide variety of area involving community, love of the land, local history and IDF connection.

8. The program is mainly built on experience studies and empowerment, which lean on information stemming from the teen’s world while using role playing, watching films and encountering people.
